Barbara Pierce

Barbara Pierce has 25 years of experience in marketing and public relations. She has led numerous high-profile communications initiatives, including product introductions, crisis communications programs, guerrilla marketing efforts and special events. She has conducted B2B and consumer public relations programs on a global, national and regional basis.

Previously, Barbara served in multiple communications leadership roles at Eastman Kodak Company, including Director of Worldwide Strategic Communications, Public Relations Director for Worldwide Brand Marketing & Communications, and Associate Director of Corporate Media Relations. Before managing and implementing global, national, and regional campaigns for Kodak, Barbara spent more than 15 years on the agency side of the business, working with organizations and institutions including Constellation Brands, Bausch & Lomb, DuPont Merck, Frontier Communications, BlueCross BlueShield of Greater Rochester, Rochester General Health System, and Greater Rochester Health Foundation.

In 2011, Barbara was looking for her next challenge and was thrilled to find a like-minded entrepreneur in Michelle Ashby. Barbara linked arms with Michelle and dove right into a successful partnership at Tipping Point.

Barbara is active in national marketing and PR trade organizations and volunteers time to many not-for-profits in the Western New York and Finger Lakes region. She currently serves as a member of the board, finance committee and board development committee of WXXI; is a member of Rotary; and is a current member and past president of the Rochester Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA). She earned her Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) in 2000.

She has won numerous industry and community accolades, including the PRSA Silver Anvil Award, a Silver Anvil Award of Excellence, and numerous Rochester Chapter PRSA PRism Awards and local ad club ADDY Awards. In 2013, she received the 2013 PRSA Rochester Sharleen Bruse Award for career achievement in PR, and in 2000 was one of Rochester Business Journal’s “40 Under 40.”
