Carla Mancuso Spano
Carla Mancuso Spano, PR Account Supervisor at Tipping Point Public Relations, brings more than two decades of public relations and marketing experience in business, consumer and not-for-profit industries. Carla has extensive event management and trade show expertise spanning her career.
Before joining Tipping Point, she freelanced with local agencies and served as Director of Marketing and Communications for St. Joseph School in Penfield, where she led all of the school’s public relations and marketing recruitment and retention initiatives. Prior to that, she spent many years at highly-regarded local agencies managing national, regional and local public relations initiatives that have garnered major media placements.
Over her 20+ year career, Carla has received numerous industry awards, including PRISM awards and honors from the Rochester Chapter of PRSA. She is a former President of the Rochester Chapter of PRSA. In 2006, the Communication/Journalism Department at St. John Fisher College honored her with entry into the “Jack Palvino Hall of Fame”. Carla currently adjuncts at St. John Fisher College teaching Business Communications and Intro to PR. She is also preparing to teach in the Master’s in Strategic Marketing cohort at Roberts Wesleyan College. She served on the PRSA Board, led the PRSA PRISMs event, judged the PRISM awards multiple years and is also a former board member of PACE – Parents for the Advancement of Catholic Education. Carla earned her Bachelor’s Degree from St. John Fisher College and a Master’s in Communication from SUNY Brockport.
